Angel Heart | Sam’s birthday present for Claire (aka: a credit card) 

Okay. winchestersinthedrift asked for an explanation: 

look at the first gif. His hand is taking something out from his jacket. Then it goes a bit lower- to her hand, basically placing the card right then. 

in the second gif she looks at him, confused a little. Then she glances down to the card and up to meet Sam’s eyes again with a smile. 

Then he goes. And she’s left with a credit card that wasn’t in her hands before ( she’s also struggling to put it inside her pocket which means it isn’t it’s regular place..) 

 And there you got Sam’s birthday present for her. BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER. 

I really just love that Sam’s gift was even the slightest attempt at offering financial stability, in his own little illegal way, hahaha. This sort of work in making fraudulent accounts, though he hated it, was a source of income his family used to keep them in beds at night, so I envision Sam wanting her to have something that would at least get her where she needs to go. Especially when she’s all alone. He had some experience being by himself at 18 with no back-up and no idea where the road’s taking him. I really enjoyed his interactions with Claire this episode. 😌

It’s sweet. Don’t max it all out at once kid. (God Sam you are teaching her all kinds of sneaky snake maneuvers.)

But still what a shitty birthday.

They can bond over shitty birthdays now.

Exactly, Sam is practical and down to earth, he is one of those boyfriend who will get you a GPS instead of a perfume, because this is what you need the most. 

The first thing he told her was to use aliases when she’s running- he is concerned about her safety. He recognizes his rebellious teen in her, and he knows that what she needs ins’t a lecture and the ‘you’re young you don’t know shit’ but some tools to get along safely and to have some basic (hacking) knowledge and things that will actually help her, no matter what she’ll do. 

It wasn’t surprising at all, and he did it silently, without making a big deal out of it, not like those uncles that give you money and expect a huge thnak you. he just, does what needs to be done. Simple like that.
